Gone to Another Place and Time
...at least that's how it feels everytime I go on vacation to the family beach house. This was taken there last year (I have another version of it on Flickr) and I just recently came across a bunch of digital files that I never processed. So I did get a few done, and brought them with me to New England to upload to my photo account, but the others will have to wait for my return to NYC. Meanwhile, I am on low-tech living here in the middle of nowhere, so forgive my lack of comments and visits to all of your wonderful blogs for a while!

Have a wonderful peaceful vacation Susan
I don't think that will be difficult. I am surrounded by seagulls, ocean, and plenty of seafood. Not many people. Rarely a car comes around...A nice combination! thanks, Sandy!
The angle of this photograph really gives this truck/car presence. I love the retro vibe.
The retro vibe is pretty much built in to the scene and subject, isn't it? I can take no credit other than to do this is a duotone (b/w tint). Thanks!
It looks great.
Thanks for coming around, Brambor!
Yes, enjoy your vacation! That is another beautiful photograph as well.
Thanks so much, art kitten!
If you find any razor clams make sure you eat them. They are so good. Grill them with a little olive oil and sprinkle a little Parmiggano Reggiano on them. Don't forget to roll with the lobster or lobster roll whichever you prefer.
Oooh, Jiffy, I'll keep an eye out. Never heard of those, but I'll keep my eyes out. Lobster rolls, however are a staple here!
i just discovered your site and what a treasure it is! your photographs are amazing...i love the one used for your banner. i'm off to check out your etsy site now...isn't the ocean the most restorative, balancing thing on the planet???
oo... an idyllic 1940's beauty. i actually kind of prefer your treatment on this one. spectacularness!
lovely blog by the way. i look forward to stopping by from time to time :)
tangled sky .... yes, the ocean has its way of curing so many stresses!
lauren .... I think I agree with you the more I look at this one. I like the sepia tone. My other shows more detail under the car as well which is why I put it on Flickr. Welcome and glad you visited!
This is a very nice shot.
