I am finally getting a start on the summer photos... scanning and potential post-processing takes so long, it's the part I dread. I shoot with so many lo-fi cameras that the majority of what I shoot never get seen by others, (still, I feel compelled to go through the steps to process and store them) and of the rest I actually do show, a certain kind of appreciation will be necessary if one is to see the beauty. They aren't everybody's cup of tea. You can click on the photo to read the humorous caption which explains this self portrait.

I really like this a lot! I think the reason I love your work so much is there is a simplicity to the subject, yet with the different uses of camera's or lighting, of even focus, you add such an incredible "feel" to them. I also love that they have a story or some creative write up with them. You are a BRILLIANT artist. I L*O*V*E it all!!!
No, thank you!!!!!!!!
HA HA HA HA.... you absolutely made me belly laugh with that last line, Sandy!!
Love this photo and the caption, too. I used to take and develope "real" photos, but got lazy with a digital...and I still don't get around to getting them printed.
thanks for the comment on my blog about the wheat grass....YES......it is one of the most HEALTHY things one can put into their bodies. humans and animals alike. and they LOVE it. it is easy to grow....beautiful to look at and TOTALLY good for them and US. i have been very successful with my wheat grass....and have many satisfied feline AND canine customers. also birds, bunnies, and reptiles.

Kim .... thanks for visiting, yes, film does take SO much time. Where are we supposed to find it? I just get my film developed, and I scan and process my negatives myself. 20 minutes to an hour for EACH negative. Digital is nice, but for true art, I can't beat film. :))
Bunnie .... Oh my, I never, never knew that!! :D
Love your blog! Thanks for visiting mine! I would love to live in Manhattan, my daughter had a summer internship there for her fashion design degree!
Yeah, you're head is chopped off, but cool photo all the same! But yeah, you do look like you're freezing :)
I really love your blog! Beautiful work!

i've been there—forced by my twin to hold some strange position for one of her pics.
My friend Jessi does this, too. And she'll say, "Waaait for it, wait for it." whilst making me wait for it.
:)
this is a beautiful shot—well worth the wait!
jenscloset .... it's a great city!
chris .... summertime in New England close to sunset or sunrise can be like Fall or even Winter!
Clare .... welcome, and thanks!
Georgia .... ahahahhaa!
Your photography has the most amazingly haunting shadows.
I like it because it takes a while to figure out ... so I saw many things
a little eerie and mysterious
