Brain Scans
I think I'll be scanning film for eternity. It seems endless partly because it keeps being interrupted by my need to scan other odd bits, such as the pretty papers on the insides of the envelopes of my monthly bills, and work doodles. Piles and piles of things like these insist on documentation. And I always comply...not without delay, but eventually.

inside of envelopes? impressive! 3 little Easter chicks! YES! and a Ram! So darn creative. I love how you think..... I wish you had more time to write. I'd like to read "A Day In The Life"....... well, it would have to be filled with pictures, of course. :--)
Yes, Sandy, have you ever looked inside your envelopes? Safety paper is really so lovely all together. I always tear pieces off. And these are (in my mind) owls. I have made Easter chickies in the past for cards, though. If you were to see them, you would see the difference. Hahaha! :)
I love the inside of envelopes too!
this is a sweet little compilation!
fun to see!
i like that you find beauty in unexpected places!
you know you're good at math when you suck at basic addition. you know you're incredibly creative and talented when you can make the mundane interesting. i love the envelopes :D
See now, I bet more of you will be paying attention when the next bill arrives! ;)
I have always loved the hidden surprises that come in the mail. Love your little peeps too!
Hoo-Hoo!!
Love the drawings!
Scanning does suck, doesn't it? I have like thousands of photos but no time or inclination to scan them in to the computer. I wish there was a system where you can just dumping a bunch of photos in a bin and having them miraculously appear scanned all pretty.
OHHH, I love all those blues :) I never thought about the insides of envelopes.....
You know, it all looks very interesting..Never realized the inside of an envelope was so pretty..
i know when i start scanning, i too have to do everything lol
Chris, I like your line of thinkin'!! :D
Jane and Rosebud, I bet now you both will. :)
Kim, yes, I figure, I've got it on, it's such a pain, and I keep putting this 'documentation' off, so let's not waste another day...
cute items! I love your prints... at least you have a scanner my cousin took mine and lost it... =_=... it was a scanner, printer and copier in one.. I was not pleased!
OH no, bad cousin! Well, you know, scanners are so inexpensive nowadays...you don't have to get big fancy ones like mine. Maybe Santa will bring you one!
Holy great envelopes Batman !
happy Thanksgiving Day Susan
Funny how all of a sudden this alignment brings sense to otherwise trivial gestures of opening and discarting. I did in the past made use of window enveloppes, by inserting pictures from whatever sources (magazines, etc.) and writing the addresses next to it, thus sending personalised letters.
Sandy ... almost turkey time!
Em Ka Be ... Oh I like your idea, too!
I found your blog thru Tracey's and I had to stop and tell ya that
I love your stunning photo's and artwork!!
blessings,Flora
I love the doodles. I AM going to look at my mail differently now!
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Tracy
Spectacular work! Just wanted to say hello and thanks for visiting our blog last night; you were probably referred to us by Julia Pott.
I also wanted to say that I loooooooove S'Mac and miss it now that I don't live in New York anymore. The mac n' cheese dish with the figs? Yum!
What? I never knew there was a food called S'Mac! See, the things ya learn... ;)
Thank you for your kinds words today on my blog.....
I realize he is one incidental individual.... that's it.
I hope you have a wonderful Turkey Day too. Mmmmm, cant wait!! lol
I just got in from work. I will sleep in tomorrow and DREAM of turkey instead. Thank the Lord at least *that* day I get to be off. You deserve great joy, Sandy!!
dear Susan
you won my happy/sad paper doll
Please send me your address !
I can't believe those prints are from envelopes, I would never have guessed, not even from the scan!
Sandy ... WOO HOO!! :D
nuvonova ... I bet you will be paying more attention to your mail from here on! ;)
Hey I've never thought of that! It's such a great idea, so many patterns discarded all the time!
Can't wait to see your full collection!
Danita
I can't stop scanning either. my flickr photostream is groaning under the weight of paper... & when I think of the way I want to organize it all...
The way we connect through our collages of minutiae... it's fascinating the way the internet has made it possible.
I think I might love your blog.
Oh that is a nice compliment, thank you Agent M.!!
I also love envelopes, inside and out when stamped.
Yes, thanks for your comment, rachel...I also tear off the stamps and messy postmarks , or I used to. Seems now everything is 'invisible' or digital nowadays! :(
