NYC in January

It's a record-breaking January, snow-wise, here in New York City.  This is the way I like it.  Winter should be white (ahem, ok, that is a relative term once snow hits our streets) and cold.  It should make one appreciate a warm home, and cocoa, and toasty socks and blankies.  And it should be in vast contrast to Summer.  Every season has its role, and I prefer them to act accordingly.  So, on that note, bring on the blizzardry; it is welcome any ole time, in my book!!

PS: the necklaces in my previous post should hit my Etsy shop in the next day or two!

Holy!! That is an amazing photo! I can't imagine what the person who owns the car would do.

Every car looked like this, Lala! Most people are 'leaving' them like that. I've seen some shovel theirs out, but most don't want to bother because where ever you go might not have a place to park, (Soho doesn't really get much plowing if at all, but other parts of the city do, and the snow that gets plowed goes right on the sides where you might park, but can't now) and then you're stuck.

I agree! The winter I've enjoyed NY the most was a very very cold and snowy one (I think it was 2003). Everything looked like a scene out of a modern fairy tale.

Yay, Galit, I love to meet others who love snowy weather, too!

You know, I have to agree with you. Take the "glass is half full" attitude and embrace it. There's beauty in every single thing. Nice post.
