Beach Ball Kitty

I've been doing some illustration work the last few days; working on several ideas at once. I tend to do this; the result is a plethora of unfinished projects lying about. Here's a kitty you've seen before. I drew it on a scrap of heavy craft paper which lined the top of a shipment received at my job. (I've mentioned before how I grab any scrap of paper or cardboard to doodle on.) This rainy afternoon I painted it digitally, and added photographic textures to create I think 12 or 13 versions. It had started out bright and colorful. I think the one in the upper left is gonna be what will end up in my shop.

Yes, maura, I could get so lost in it for hours and forget to eat or do any other important thing. Last night I cooked dinner at 1am. No regrets, though.

So fun and inspiring to to see them all in different looks. hmmm... I like this idea. Brain is liking this and working to find applications for me..lol. This rainy weather has me slow and way too relaxed to be productive. Should have been a great studio day but instead I went to bed 3x!

d for m .... gosh, thanks!
dani .... it's my usual way of working. I rarely do something 'one' way. This is the benefit of 'painting' digitally.

Wow...I love this! My vote is for the upper left image as well...but maybe offering a set of 4 would be a quadruple bonus! :)

Heather, hilarious; I've NEVER seen Tom Waits! Must be that ole blogosphere hocus-pocus hittin' ya in the noggin!

Crystal, hmm...hadn't considered that!

Susan(oodles),

One day I am going to purchase some of your works from your lovely etsy shop -- you can count on it. In fact, if I had the money, I would go ahead and purchase something right this moment, but, well, apparently not too many money tree seeds were blown into my backyard via Uncle S(c)am, so I'll just have to wait it out for a little while longer.

Your work is spectacular, and that goes for all of your creations - photography, drawing, illustrations, &c., &c. whatever the case may be, they're all quite gorgeous.

Keep shining!
