Whoosh

Whoosh, originally uploaded by sMacshot.

That darned (and wonderful) light-leaking plastic camera business again. It's perfect, I think, for presenting summertime memories the way they are in my mind. I was following my sister one evening after dinner down a seagrass path leading to the ocean. The sun was shining, the wind rippling across the tall grass, and butterflies....thousands of them, everywhere.

Wow, wonderful. I just got a Diana F+ camera for my birthday, and I can't wait to use it! But I wish they made digital lomography cameras :(

sandy ... Well, Sandy it is a piece of plastic into which you load simple oldfashioned film...not 35mm kind. These cameras used to be given free with a full tank of gas at the gas station. So, nothing fancy! (now they are being brought back as the Diana F+ but I fear they won't be lo-fi enough for me as they are probably sufficiently light-tight. Still, a good option for those without originals!)

Chris .... Oh you will LOVE using toy plastic camera-ry!! Leave the digital to Canon, Nikon, and Fuji. Plastics only go with film!! Let me know when you have some pics up!

It's neat to see the different results you get from the different camera's. I think my fav still is the SX-70.
Have you heard of this newer site Poladroid. I was curious and tried it out.... not even close. Keeping honest with the real thing.
OH, love your new X-mas cards on Etsy- adorable reindeer!

georgia, thank you so much!

sandy, never heard of poladroid...what is that??

it's a site where you can take one of your digital pics, and give the digital a polaroid effect. You even get to shake it like a polaroid picture. The effect is ok, but not close enough.
Just saw the newest on your sisters Flickr. Is that your eerie hand? ooooo scary!

sMacThoughts said...

Yes, that is my hand. We have loads 'o' fun doing these things she thinks up. :)
