Foggy Days Like This...

Foggy Days Like This..., originally uploaded by sMacshot.

...when the air feels still, like a salty veil blessing all it enshrouds, I notice more the sound of my footsteps than the tidal rhythm punctuated by the two muffled foghorns, and an errant seagull's cry, which seems actually more like a cranky toddler in need of a nap. Days like this move at a different pace, on a separate plane.

**I will be back to post something more current as soon as my new-camera-fog clears. Soon, I hope! Happy Sunday, all!

your written word is equally as beautiful as your photograph. Love this. What kind of flowers are they?
gorgeous!!!

No idea, Sandy, but they were very dense and 'hard' like wool-covered buttons. And they sorta made me want to eat them roasted with salt by the handful...

That photo is so cool! So I have been so busy lately I had to give up my daily blog reading for a bit... new camera? Do tell!

(I guess I will scroll down through your blog and find out all the juicy details)

Yes, Jeremy, got an XSi (Canon Digital Rebel) in a special upgrade deal because Canon sorta messed up on the repair of my beloved G6 which was the first camera I'd ever bought, and so loved. It's gone forever, and I am really heartbroken. :P But I am excited how to shoot with a better camera, and it will help me evolve, photographically...how is the house? Hope all is great!

hi Susan,
I was going to ask if you will be listing this on Etsy, and voila- you answered my question. How are things going w/ the new Canon?? Cant wait to see what you've taken so far. xoxo

Mirthquake .... thank you, and welcome!

red nails .... I love hearing how a photo which conjures up strong memories for me can also do the same (yet completely different ones!) for another!
