Contemplating The Throne

Contemplating The Throne, originally uploaded by sMacshot.
This is Greg Garing, one of the recording artists whose album cover I shot this year. The record release party is behind us, and I'll post images as soon as I get my copies of the albums. For now I leave you with this outtake from one of our photo shoots.

Beautiful!! I love the richness of deep colours and textures.

If I had to guess I would have said that you were influenced by both Tom Waits and 19th century Dutch painters while taking this photo :)

P.S. Just found there is a movie about him. Looks like you found yourself a very intriguing artist to shoot (I haven't heard of him before so your photo was the intro to him and his music)

Love how you captured the textures too. The fabrics, the wallpaper, the picture frame- all the details just POP! GORGEOUS!

Galit, thank you, I didn't need any 'influence' since he is enough of one, and the setting did the rest, thankfully. I merely enhanced what was already there... he is quite something else. I am fortunate to have gotten to work with him, and his talent struck me with awe - - truly jaw-dropping to experience.

Sandy .... The location is The Player's Club in Manhattan; I did not have to do much other than enhance the color. Thanks!!
