The Sun, Finally!

I do not remember another year where by July I've not yet turned on my a/c (fans, yes) nor gone to the beach once! But maybe the tide has turned...could real summer weather be at last around the corner? This is me, two days ago, the wind was whipping my hair and compromised camera steadiness, oh but the glory of seeing shadows which are not made by streetlights!! Enjoy your Sunday, all!

here in the mid-west, summer came early. it's been a series of over 100F days for a couple weeks now. unusual. it seems like august instead of june/july.

Sandy .... It was a fantabulous day today. I miss the sun!

miz katie ... how odd! Maybe you could send that out to New England in a few weeks for my summer vacation? :)

In Seattle, we have had the nicest summer that I can remember, over a month with no rain and 70- 80 degree weather. Life is good!

yes, we've been having the same strange unseasonable-ness! but i admit, i am sort of basking in the fall-like weather (it is my favourite season). i hope you'll get your beachy days soon, though!

ps: how is the new camera coming along? are you enjoying it??

Tara .... how bizarre. Is this the shape of things to come??

red nails; wrong city .... I enjoy it to the extent that it saves me a LOT of money on electricity, but yes, for my vacation time, I will really need warmth because the beach house can be pretty cold otherwise. I am loving my camera, and already working on a project/series for a book. I will post things soon from toy shots!

Viva la sun! In Atlanta, Summer seems to last for 9 months. Sometimes I would gladly trade. Great pic by the way.

JennyMac ... I am a New England girl, but I did spend 10 yrs down in three different Texas cities; I do know about the '9 months of summer' deal. Novel at first, I came to miss my seasons. Glad I'm back up this way, I love the cold, too!
