Let’s See, Etsy!

Theme: What’s New, Pussycat?

(Etsy is a site where people who make things can sell them. It’s an online shopping mall. Hundreds of shops offer wares unlike any you might see offline. Each week I will feature some of the items which have caught my attention. Prices are very reasonable, and I encourage any who are interested to consider shopping at Etsy the next time you have a gift to buy.)

Today I am featuring some kitty cat items from my list of favorites for sale on Etsy. I’ve never considered myself a cat person most of my life, (and am, in fact, deathly allergic to them) but I am lately so fascinated by these creatures. I wish I could have one of my own. Perhaps that is why I’m drawn to these.

OH they are all so wonderful, but no mistakes, Jordi...none of these are by me! The links lead to the artists shops. I love these kitties!

What a great idea! Usually I'm not really drawn to cat art, because they tend to me much too whimsical for my taste. But I really like your selection, particularly the cat with the mustache. I've always had a penchant for mustachioed cats.

OH yes, Diana, who can resist that Clark Gable cat? Sheesh, he's so darn debonaire...then combine that with tube socks and well, there ya go. I'm slain.

There is a woman from Japan on Etsy that makes Jiffy Cats. Mrs. Jiffy Cat's Mom who was also from Japan made about 17 of them inculding the original Jiffy Cat in blue paisley pajama's. She would have got a kick out of Etsy and probably would have sold lots of them.....since it's Mother's Day I thought I might share that.
She got the original pattern from a Japanese Ladies magazine.
Cheers, Ed

What? You mean there really is a "Jiffy Cat"??? My golly, I will have to look that up! Thanks for the story, and yes, Grandma Jiffy Cat would have probably been a big Etsy hit!
